Joy

A few days ago I wrote what feels like a Valentine’s Day poem to Life, my first beloved, and the joy that comes from our union. Every time I visit it, it grows- like joy itself. Haha

JOY

Joy,
 oh joy,
 my joy!

I feel deeply
  I see clearly
       I hear softly
          I cry openly
   I receive so
    completely

    through the floods 
  through the flutters
 through the falls

there’s a
Sunniness in my soul
that passes all understanding

so forget the trying,
 and come! Come dance with me,
   through the fires,
      through the feathers,
through All Things

What will we say sweetheart
when
we get to the end
then? 

How did we fit it all
  into one 
   Human heart? 
this one little
   Human Life?

So much
    wonder,
        so much
                pain.

So much
    beauty!
        So much
                Joy!
